Dear Internet friends,

As you all know, these modern days can be very harsh sometimes.
Playboy Enterprise was already facing tough times but the situation
is now irreversible.  We suffered a $2.8 million loss in net income for
the quarter.  Operating Income dropped 84% to $2.9 million, compared

As a result, the decision to indefinitely postpone the Playboy Magazine
publication was taken.  NSS issues will still be produced.  The WWW
site will also be maintained.  Personnel cutbacks are still under study.

The Magazine Issues already on the drawing boards will be published.
This means that the June's PMOY Issue will hit the newsstands in
about a month from now.  Senior Staff Writers should note that the
usual deadlines are in effect, except for the last issue (July) where the
deadline is two weeks earlier.
